Multi-Factor Authentication Setup and Activation Guide

Welcome to the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup guide. Follow these steps carefully to configure and activate MFA for enhanced security.

Step 1: Access your Account

  1. Go to the designated login portal, e.g., https://outlook.com.
  2. Log in using your institutional email and password.

Step 2: Choose Your Authentication Method

At this point, select the method for installing the MFA based on your preference:

a. Mobile Devices: - Install a recommended MFA application on your mobile device. - Follow the app's setup instructions. - Use the generated codes for MFA.

b. Desktop Applications: - Choose a reliable desktop MFA application. - Install and configure the application as guided. - Utilize the desktop app-generated codes for MFA.

Step 3: Activation

  1. After selecting your preferred method, follow the on-screen instructions to activate MFA.
  2. Test the MFA setup by logging out and logging back in, using the newly configured MFA method.
